Dig these travel pants

So I finally caved and bought the Lightweight Travel Pants. Honestly, they're pretty great. Super comfy, felt good on my last trip. The fabric is nice, didn't wrinkle up like crazy in my bag. I purchased the Merino Wool Quarter Zip and the All Day Shorts. The quarter zip is excellent, really soft and well-made. The shorts are comfortable too, though I wish they had one more secure pocket. Shipping was free and arrived in about a week. I liked that the packaging was minimal. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality seems to justify it for the most part. Customer service was helpful when I asked about washing instructions for the wool.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows how the Aviator travel jeans fit compared to, say, Levi's 511 or 513? Trying to figure out sizing without ordering a bunch of pairs.

I'd say they're generally a bit more forgiving than Levi's. Like, if you're usually a 511, the Aviator slim fit might feel a tad roomier, but still modern. I'd probably stick to your usual waist size.

Yeah, I wear 513s and went with the straight leg from Aviator, and they're pretty similar in the leg, maybe a little more stretch in Aviator. Just check their size chart for inseams, they list them out.

For me, to Boston, it's usually like 3-5 business days. So NYC should be similar. They ship pretty quick.

I'm looking at their travel jeans and also Bluffworks. Any thoughts on how Aviator stacks up against Bluffworks, especially for actual travel comfort and look?

I own both! Aviator feels more like 'real' jeans, super comfortable and stretchy but looks like regular denim. Bluffworks are a bit more technical fabric, maybe slightly dressier but not as much natural give. For pure comfort and jean-like feel, Aviator wins for me.

Aviator's merino stuff is top notch too. Bluffworks is good, but I find Aviator's fit just a bit better for my body type, feels less 'synthetic'. Plus, the made in USA thing is a bonus.

Thinking of grabbing a few merino wool tees. How do you guys wash them without messing them up? Heard wool can be tricky.

Cold water, gentle cycle, and lay flat to dry. That's been my go-to for all my merino stuff and it works great. Never had an issue with shrinking.

Seriously, just avoid the dryer at all costs. And don't use harsh detergents. I just toss mine in with similar colors on a delicate wash and they've held up really well.
